Metal nanoparticles supported on crystalline Al(OH)3 Nano sheets for efficient catalytic hydrogen production from hydrous hydrazine in aqueous solution

Samikannu Prabu et al.

Summary: Hydrous hydrazine is a promising chemical hydrogen storage carrier compound due to its high hydrogen content and easy recharge. NiPt, CoNi, and CoPt nanoparticles supported on Al(OH)(3) Nano sheets exhibit superior catalytic efficiency for hydrogen production by N2H4•H2O catalytic decomposition. The electronic interaction between the Al(OH)(3) Nano sheet and Ni, Co, and Pt nanoparticles plays a crucial role in the catalytic performance.

An ultra-highly active Ir-Ru-B/CeO2 catalyst for hydrogen generation from hydrazine monohydrate

Yu-Ping Qiu et al.

Summary: This study reports the synthesis of an Ir-Ru-B/CeO2 catalyst and its intriguing properties for catalyzing N2H4・H2O decomposition. The results show that Ir-Ru alloying, B-doping, and strong metal-support interactions collectively contribute to the catalytic performance, leading to over 4-fold higher activity compared to state-of-the-art catalysts.
