Head-Raising Method of Snake Robots Based on the Bezier Curve

Yunhu Zhou et al.

Summary: The paper presents a control strategy based on the Bezier curve for the snake robot raising its head, along with an improved discretization method to accommodate more complex shapes of the backbone curve and introduces the concept of energy to estimate the shape complexity of the backbone curve. Lastly, an obstacle avoidance strategy for head-raising motion is proposed based on degree elevation of the Bezier curve and validated through simulation.
