A Lite Distributed Semantic Communication System for Internet of Things

Summary: This paper proposes a lite distributed semantic communication system L-DeepSC for text transmission, which is designed for IoT devices with lower complexity and improved transmission efficiency. The study explores the effects of fading channels during transmission and develops a channel state information (CSI) aided training processing to mitigate these effects. By implementing a semantic constellation and optimizing channels, L-DeepSC performs competitively on capacity-limited IoT devices.
