Atmospheric aerosol and black carbon optical properties and associated radiative forcing under haze conditions

Summary: The study investigated the optical properties and radiative forcing of atmospheric aerosol and black carbon aerosol under haze conditions. It found that BC concentrations and AOD increased significantly under severe haze conditions, while BCRF in SW decreased and its fraction in ARF also decreased simultaneously. The increase in aerosol loading and asymmetry factor contributed to the decrease in ARFE and BCRFE as haze developed.
