Time simulation of the nonlinear wave-particle interaction in meters-long traveling-wave tubes

Damien F. G. Minenna et al.

Summary: The study introduces a multi-particle self-consistent Hamiltonian for periodic structures and develops an efficient one-dimensional symplectic multi-particle algorithm to simulate nonlinear wave-particle interaction in an experimental helix TWT. Additionally, a three-dimensional helix version of the reduction model is provided.
