Complex effects of moisture conditions and temperature enhanced vegetation growth in the Arid/humid transition zone in Northern China

Yunhe Yin et al.

Summary: The study on ecosystems in the arid/humid transition zone of northern China found that vegetation activity is influenced by both climatic and non-climatic factors, with growing season temperature and growing season aridity index being the main driving factors.

Regional-scale vegetation-climate interactions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Chan Diao et al.

Summary: The study highlights the sensitivity of vegetation in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to warming and wetting climate, with a temporal lag in response to precipitation of 0-1 months. The vegetation also shows distinct reaction patterns to temperature within 1-2 months.

Quantifying the contributions of human activities and climate change to vegetation net primary productivity dynamics in China from 2001 to 2016

Wenyan Ge et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the relative contributions of climate change and human activities to net primary productivity (NPP) in China using a two-step methodology based on RESTREND. Results showed a significant increase in NPP during the study period, with both climate change and human activities playing favorable roles in vegetation growth. Climate factors contributed 60.06% to vegetation changes, while human activities contributed 39.94% to NPP. Precipitation, temperature, solar radiation, and other climatic factors all had varying impacts on vegetation growth in different regions of China.
