Effectiveness of Mindfulness Meditation vs Headache Education for Adults With Migraine A Randomized Clinical Trial

Rebecca Erwin Wells et al.

Summary: MBSR did not show superior effectiveness in reducing migraine frequency compared to headache education, but it did improve disability, quality of life, self-efficacy, pain catastrophizing, and depression up to 36 weeks, with decreased experimentally induced pain suggesting a potential shift in pain appraisal. Further research with a larger sample size is needed to validate these findings.
