Aberrant Static and Dynamic Functional Network Connectivity in Acute Mild Traumatic Brain Injury with Cognitive Impairment

Summary: Our study aimed to investigate differences in static and dynamic functional network connectivity (FNC) in acute mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) patients and their association with neurocognitive performance. The results showed wide aberrances in static FNC and aberrant dynamic FNC in state 2, with reduced FNC in various pairs. The reduced dynamic FNC in the SN-vAN pair was negatively correlated with the MoCA score, suggesting that aberrant FNC may contribute to cognitive symptoms in the acute stage of mTBI.
