Summary: A novel method for the determination of iodate ions using smartphone digital image colorimetry combined with solidification of floating organic drop-dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction was proposed in this study. The method showed high sensitivity, good linearity, and was efficiently applied in the analysis of iodate ions in table salt samples.
