This research focuses on incorporating battery degradation into the unit commitment formulation using particle swarm optimization with quadratic transfer function, while addressing uncertainties in demand, renewable generation, and market price through robust optimization. The results show that considering battery degradation in the objective function can lead to increased battery lifecycle and depth of charge, albeit with a slight increase in microgrid operation cost. Additionally, considering uncertainties can lead to an 8.22% increase in microgrid operation cost.
