Nambu Goto cosmic strings are formed from symmetry breaking phase transitions in the early universe, evolving into a complex network of long strings and loops that generate density inhomogeneities of different sizes as they move through the early universe, affecting the evolution of the universe and the generation of seed magnetic fields in the early universe.
In this brief review, I discuss some of the effects of the Nambu Goto cosmic strings in the early universe. Nambu Goto strings are formed from symmetry breaking phase transitions in the early universe. I will briefly describe the mechanism of the generation of these cosmic strings. These cosmic strings then evolve as a complicated networks of long strings and loops. Density inhomogeneities of different sizes can be generated by these strings as they move through the early universe. I will mainly discuss the effect of these density fluctuations on the evolution of the universe. This will affect phase transition dynamics as well as result in the generation of seed magnetic fields in the early universe.
