China's agricultural green total factor productivity based on carbon emission: An analysis of evolution trend and influencing factors

Dongdong Liu et al.

Summary: Through studying the development trend and influencing factors of China's agricultural green total factor productivity, it is found that agricultural carbon emissions are decreasing with fertilizers being the main source of emissions and increasing differences among provinces. To improve green agricultural productivity and promote high-quality economic development, measures such as promoting clean agricultural production, strengthening research and development in agriculture are necessary.

The policy effect of green finance in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading efficiency in China: analysis from the perspective of government regulation and public environmental demands

Beibei Gu et al.

Summary: The impact of green finance on the efficiency of industrial transformation and upgrading shows high overall efficiency but a decreasing trend, possibly due to unbalanced development of the green financial system, information asymmetry, and lack of enterprise regulation. Public environmental demands and input government regulations have significant synergistic governance advantages in promoting efficiency, indicating a need for the government to enhance regulatory intensity.

Industrialization, urbanization, and carbon emission efficiency of Yangtze River Economic Belt-empirical analysis based on stochastic frontier model

Caiqing Zhang et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the panel data of China's Yangtze River Economic Belt (YEB) from 2008 to 2017 using the stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) model, finding that the overall carbon emission efficiency of the YEB is on an upward trend with room for improvement and that the impact of industrialization and urbanization on carbon emission efficiency follows a U-shaped curve.

Development of an SBM-ML model for the measurement of green total factor productivity: The case of pearl river delta urban agglomeration

Ye Li et al.

Summary: The rapid economic development in China has negatively impacted the ecosystem. In the affluent and innovative Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomeration, balancing economic development and environmental protection is crucial for local green development. By studying the Green Total Factor Productivity (GTFP) of the PRDUA, including resources and environmental factors, it was found that GTFP of all cities in the region increased in a wave-like trend over time, with Shenzhen consistently at the top. Furthermore, the GTFP disparity between cities in PRDUA has been narrowing over time.
