Free vibration of irregular plates via indirect differential quadrature and singular convolution techniques

Ola Ragb et al.

Summary: In this study, convolution and indirect meshless techniques were applied to solve the free vibration problem of irregular composite plates surrounded by a nonlinear elastic matrix with three parameters. The influences of variable thickness, foundation stiffness, and supporting conditions on frequency values and mode shapes were investigated. The indirect moving least squares quadrature technique was found to be efficient for vibration plates containing material discontinuity.
