Nature of Antenna Radiation Revealed by Physical Circuit Model

Yuhang Dou et al.

Summary: The radiation efficiency of electrically small antennas depends on antenna geometry and mutual radiated power between partial segments of the antenna. The physical micromodeling circuit (MMC) model is utilized to explain this relationship, and a holographic radiation diagram is proposed to illustrate the correspondence of positive and negative radiated power with the antenna structure. The new physical circuit model provides insight into electromagnetic radiation problems and is demonstrated through the design of a highly efficient loop antenna.

Evaluation of the 4-D singular and near singular potential integrals via the Stokes' theorem

Damir Latypov

Summary: This paper presents a closed-form solution for singular and near-singular double surface integrals on arbitrary coplanar polygonal surfaces, as well as an evaluation method extendable to non-coplanar and non-polygonal surfaces. The evaluation method constructs exact differential forms for integration via the Stokes' theorem, providing advantages over traditional singularity subtraction methods. Numerical tests show that the proposed method maintains accuracy for triangles with aspect ratios tending to infinity, unlike existing methods.

Efficient Computation of Partial Elements in the Full-Wave Surface-PEEC Method

Francesca Di Murro et al.

Summary: PEEC method provides an electromagnetic model of interconnections and packaging structures using standard circuit elements, with S-PEEC formulation reducing unknowns and being particularly useful for high-speed circuits and high-switching power electronics. The revised S-PEEC formulation in this article computes interaction integrals rigorously through Taylor series expansion of Green's function, avoiding numerical integration and reducing computation time. Three examples demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method compared to V-PEEC method and surface-based numerical methods.
