Morphological Analysis and Properties Evaluation of Electrodeposited Thick BiSbTe Films with Cooperative Interactions among Multiple Additives

Wei Yu et al.

Summary: In this study, smooth, compact, and well-adherent films with ideal composition were successfully electrodeposited within the thickness range of 4 to 100 μm by introducing multiple additives. The introduction of PVA and saccharin sodium significantly increased the electrical resistivity, but the addition of KCl helped increase the electrolyte conductivity and decrease the resistivity back to a certain level.

Formation and Evaluation of Silicon Substrate with Highly-Doped Porous Si Layers Formed by Metal-Assisted Chemical Etching

Yijie Li et al.

Summary: Porous silicon has high potential for thermoelectric devices but faces challenges due to low electrical conductivity. By doping impurity elements, the electrical conductivity of porous silicon can be significantly improved. However, increasing carrier concentration may lead to a decrease in Seebeck coefficient. Despite this, the doped porous silicon layer can enhance the power factor compared to undoped samples, showing promise for thermoelectric applications.
