Hongyan Zuo et al.

Summary: The article establishes a coupled electrochemical-thermal model to describe the surface temperature of a power lithium manganate battery during the discharging process, and estimates the SOC values under different discharging conditions using an improved functional link neural network model. The results indicate that the improved neural network model has higher SOC estimation accuracy.

Effects analysis on hydrocarbon reduction efficiency of a beta zeolite catcher in gasoline engine during cold start

Dandan Han et al.

Summary: A new post-processing device-HC catcher was designed in this study, which showed significant effect in reducing HC emissions during cold start of a gasoline engine, but the trapping efficiency decreased with increase in exhaust temperature. Additionally, the adsorption capacity of the HC trapping material was limited and temperature-sensitive, as revealed by molecular simulations on beta zeolite.

A Transferable Force Field for Predicting Adsorption and Diffusion of Hydrocarbons and Small Molecules in Silica Zeolites with Coupled-Cluster Accuracy

John M. Findley et al.

Summary: A transferable force field for hydrocarbons and small adsorbates in pure silica zeolites was developed based on interaction energies obtained from density functional theory calculations and corrected using coupled-cluster methods. The fitting approach aimed at accurate prediction of adsorption and diffusion properties by sampling configurations. The quality of the force field was assessed for a wide range of adsorbates in zeolites with different topologies, showing good agreement with experimental measurements.

Effects of different poses and wind speeds on wind-induced vibration characteristics of a dish solar concentrator system

Hongyan Zuo et al.

Summary: The study investigated the anti-vibration characteristics of a DSC system under wind-induced vibration, revealing that natural frequencies mainly range from 0.8396 to 4.135 Hz at different wind speeds. The maximum deformation is 2.5055 mm, indicating the need to check local stiffness in the design process. Moreover, the maximum stress of the DSC system is below the yield limit of carbon steel (Q345), ensuring good safety during normal working conditions.

The Impact of Lanthanum and Zeolite Structure on Hydrocarbon Storage

Rasmus Jonsson et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of zeolite structure and La addition on hydrocarbon storage capacity, finding that low loading of La can improve toluene adsorption capacity while high loading results in decreased adsorption. Furthermore, a synergetic effect is observed for samples containing ZSM-5, with the desorption temperature and quantity of propane increasing due to interactions with toluene inside the zeolite structure.

Synergy effects analysis on CDPF regeneration performance enhancement and NOx concentration reduction of NH3-SCR over Cu-ZSM-5

Chao Zhong et al.

Summary: The study reveals that CDPF passive regeneration affects SCR performance, while active regeneration deteriorates SCR performance. SCR NOX conversion varies with the change of NO2 concentration at the outlet of CDPF, while the outlet oxygen concentration of CDPF mainly influences downstream SCR performance under active regeneration conditions.
