Facile synthesis of sub-10 nm ZnS/ZnO nanoflakes for high-performance flexible triboelectric nanogenerators

Summary: In this study, sub-10 nm ZnS/ZnO nanoflakes were successfully synthesized and combined with PDMS as a triboelectric layer material for flexible TENGs. The prepared FTENGs showed remarkable output power density and flexibility, retaining about 82% of its initial value after 2000 bending cycles. When subjected to a force applied by a human fist, a 2 x 2 cm(2) FTENG powered 70 LEDs, demonstrating the promising potential of the ultra-thin ZnSO NFs for high-output FTENGs.
