Endoscopic internal drainage for the management of leak, fistula, and collection after sleeve gastrectomy: our experience in 617 consecutive patients

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of endoscopic internal drainage for managing leaks, fistulae, and collections following sleeve gastrectomy. The results showed that early EID appeared to be a safe and effective first-line approach with good long-term results for most cases, though some cases required revisional surgery.
