Rationally designed N, P Co-doped porous film via steam etching as self-supported binder-free anode for high-performance lithium-ion battery

Zhikang Liu et al.

Summary: A new type of freestanding hybrid film with a one-dimensional structure and favorable electrochemical properties has been developed to enhance the energy storage performance of lithium-ion batteries. Through introducing hierarchical porosity and N, P co-doping during the carbonization process, more active sites are exposed, leading to superior battery performance.

Gallium oxynitride@carbon cloth with impressive electrochemical performance for supercapacitors

Jiayu Wang et al.

Summary: Gallium oxynitride (GON) is emerging as an efficient component in the field of energy storage and conversion, with its structure closely related to its physi-/electrochemical properties. By controlling the preparation conditions, the performance of GON can be tuned, and it can maintain a high capacitance retention after long-term cycling tests.

Boosting pseudocapacitive energy storage performance via both phosphorus vacancy defect and charge injection technique over the CoP electrode

Qiang Zhang et al.

Summary: Introducing proper phosphorus vacancy defects into electrode materials can significantly improve electrochemical performance. In this study, lattice-like CoP grown on nickel foam with appropriate concentration of vacancies demonstrated improved specific capacitance and excellent retention rate stability after 5000 cycles. The asymmetric supercapacitor showed higher power density and energy density after adjusting the potential window, indicating the importance of optimizing potential windows for efficient energy storage devices.
