High-resolution PVA along large environmental gradients to model the combined effects of climate change and land use timing: lessons from the large marsh grasshopper

Johannes A. Leins et al.

Summary: This study introduces the HiLEG model to analyze the effects of climate change and grassland mowing on the population viability and spatial distribution of large marsh grasshopper populations. Results suggest that climate change alone would expand suitable regions for the species, but when combined with land use practices such as mowing, timing becomes crucial for population survival.
