In silico molecular investigations of pyridine N-Oxide compounds as potential inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2: 3D QSAR, molecular docking modeling, and ADMET screening

Summary: This study investigated the inhibitory effects of a class of antiviral compounds against SARS-CoV-2 using quantitative structure-activity relationship 3D-QSAR. The results showed that a new compound A5 exhibited excellent antiviral activity against COVID-19. Additionally, the activity of these compounds was compared to that of the common antiviral drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, and the reactive sites of the compounds were defined using DFT method.
