Perceived barriers to evidence-based practice in stroke management among physiotherapists in a developing country

Peter O. Ibikunle et al.

Summary: The study found that in Nigeria, lack of time, information resources, organizational mandates, research skills, and ability to critically appraise literature are the main barriers for physiotherapists in implementing EBP. Most participants have positive attitudes and beliefs about EBP, but lack resources and organizational support. Factors such as education, academic degree, workload, experience, research and teaching participation, and professional association membership significantly facilitate EBP implementation.
