Determination of cesium ions in environmental water samples with a magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotube imprinted potentiometric sensor

Zhiming Wang et al.

Summary: A potentiometric sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with a magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes/cesium ion-imprinted polymer composite was introduced for the detection of cesium(i). The sensor showed high selectivity for cesium ions with a Nernstian slope in a working concentration range of 1 x 10(-7) to 1 x 10(-4) M and a detection limit of 4 x 10(-8) M, successfully applied for the determination of Cs(i) in real samples.

Disaggregation of a sumanene-containing fluorescent probe towards highly sensitive and specific detection of caesium cations

Artur Kasprzak et al.

Summary: A sumanene derivative modified with triphenylbenzene units was found to exhibit aggregation-induced emission enhancement (AIEE). A disaggregation process was observed after the addition of cesium cations (Cs+), leading to the design of a fluorescent probe for specific, efficient, and rapid cesium recognition.
