Summary: The mandibular biomechanical properties of albertosaurines suggest that the anterior extremity of their jaws played an important role in prey capture and handling throughout their growth process. Although their feeding strategy remained consistent, a dietary shift likely occurred between juvenile and mature individuals, indicated by changes in tooth shape and increasing bite force at around 58 cm of mandibular length.
