Influence of local particle concentration gradient forces on the flow-mediated mass transport in a numerical model of magnetic drug targeting

Summary: This study investigates the magnetohydrodynamics of magnetic nanoparticles in magnetic drug targeting through a numerical model. The results show the significant contribution of local ferrofluid concentration gradients to the magnetic fluid volume force, in addition to the magnetic field gradients. The model reveals that the magnetic fluid volume force increases with particle diameter and ferrofluid concentration, but both relationships are complex and nonlinear.
