By using carboxylic quantum dots as morphological regulators, the morphologies of BaSO4 particles can be controlled, resulting in various shapes such as rectangle, shuttle-like, and flower-like. The formation mechanism was also deduced.
A very simple method to control the morphologies of BaSO4 particles was reported for the first time. Various morphologies of BaSO4 particles including rectangle, shuttle-like, flower-like and so on were prepared by using carboxylic quantum dots (CCQDs) as morphological regulators in presence of NaCl. The formation mechanism was deduced at the same time.
