Summary: This study investigated the relationship between entry characteristics, motivational behaviors, learning strategies, and academic performance of undergraduate nursing students. Findings showed significant differences among students of different age groups, with students over 23 years old demonstrating higher motivation, learning strategies, and academic performance. The study also highlighted the lower academic grades of international students compared to domestic students, emphasizing the need to address issues related to attracting quality students and providing support for disadvantaged student groups.
