Autoimmune experimental orchitis and chronic glomerulonephritis with end stage renal disease are controlled by Cgnz1 for susceptibility to end organ damage

Zhenhuan Zhao et al.

Summary: Cgnz1 on chromosome 1 in NZM2328 mice is associated with progression from acute to chronic glomerulonephritis, as well as susceptibility to experimental autoimmune orchitis in male mice. Both conditions are linked to the same genetic interval on chromosome 1.

Comparison of 3 anti-PLA2R inmmunoassaysfor the diagnosis of idiopathic membranous nephropathy in an european population. A pilot study

Israel Nieto-Ganan et al.

Summary: Membranous nephropathy (MN) is a common cause of nephrotic syndrome, diagnosed by renal biopsy. This study compared three different techniques for detecting anti-PLA2R autoantibodies and found good consistency with new cut-off points. Patients with IMN had significantly lower serum albumin levels, and ELISA and Luminex assays were more useful than biochemical variables in differentiating IMN and SMN patients.
