The comparative toxicities of BPA, BPB, BPS, BPF, and BPAF on the reproductive neuroendocrine system of zebrafish embryos and its mechanisms

Wenhui Qiu et al.

Summary: The study found that BPA and its analogs stimulate the reproductive neuroendocrine system in zebrafish, increasing the expression levels of related genes and typical hormones. These effects were associated with increased activity of estrogen receptors and aromatase. Additionally, BPAF exhibited similar reproductive neuroendocrine toxicity to BPA in aquatic organisms.

Transgenerational effects on intestinal inflammation status in mice perinatally exposed to bisphenol S

Axelle Brulport et al.

Summary: Increasing evidence shows the critical role of early life environment in shaping future health outcomes. BPS has been widely used as a substitute for BPA, but the lack of efficient evaluation of BPS raises doubts. The study found that exposure to BPS in early life can have transgenerational effects on intestinal inflammation and metabolism.

Occurrence, toxicity and ecological risk of Bisphenol A analogues in aquatic environment - A review

Jianchao Liu et al.

Summary: This study outlined the occurrence and toxicity of Bisphenol analogues (BPs) in the aquatic environment, indicating potential risks to the aquatic ecosystem and human health. In some areas, BPs concentration in aquatic environment exceeded that in sewage plant effluent, highlighting potential hazards to the aquatic ecosystem.
