Junmao Hong et al.

Summary: FeCo@BDC, a novel Fe/Co metal organic complex nanosheet modified by 1,4-dicarboxybenzene (BDC), shows highly efficient removal performance for trace Pb2+ in neutral aqueous solutions, with removal rates over 95% and adsorption equilibrium achieved in 15 minutes. The adsorption of Pb2+ follows Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order model, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 220.48 mg g(-1). FeCo@BDC also demonstrates excellent regeneration performance, making it an ideal candidate for commercial adsorbent materials.

Review on nickel-based adsorption materials for Congo red

Yingqiu Zheng et al.

Summary: The excessive presence of synthetic dyestuffs in aquatic environments can lead to ecological and health issues that are harmful to sustainable development. Adsorption is considered an effective method for removing dye pollutants from water due to its efficiency, cost-effectiveness, ease of operation, and lack of secondary pollution. Among various dyes, Congo red is a commonly used azo dye. Nickel-based materials have been extensively studied for Congo red adsorption due to their diverse morphology, large specific surface area, and strong affinity towards Congo red. However, the challenge remains in creating nickel-based adsorbents with high efficiency, stability, and recyclability for practical applications.

Preparation of Mg,N-co-doped lignin adsorbents for enhanced selectivity and high adsorption capacity of As (V) from wastewater

Xiaofeng Shi et al.

Summary: A novel lignin-based adsorbent was prepared by doping with N and modifying with Mg2+ to enhance selectivity and capacity for As (V) oxyanion. The adsorbent showed high selectivity and excellent reusability for As (V), with a maximum adsorption capacity of 687.46 mg g(-1) achieved within 30 minutes. This study offers a new technology for As (V) adsorption from wastewater and provides a novel idea for the recycle of waste from the paper industry.

Selective removal of As(V) from wastewater with high efficiency by glycine-modified Fe/Zn-layered double hydroxides

Chongzhi Yin et al.

Summary: The study focuses on improving the adsorption effect and selectivity of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) for oxyanions by preparing glycine-modified Fe/Zn-LDH (GFeZn). The GFe(1)Zn(1) with a Fe/Zn mole ratio of 1:1 achieved excellent selectivity for As(V), with a saturated adsorption capacity of 859.52 mg/g and an adsorption equilibrium established between 60 and 120 minutes. The GFe(1)Zn(1) also showed excellent reusability with only a 13.30% decrease in adsorption capacity after 5 adsorption/desorption cycles, providing a new method for selectively removing As(V) from polluted water.
