Grass barriers for mitigating diffuse pollution within a source water area - A case study of Northeast China

Yang Ou et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the efficiency of grass barriers as a mitigation measure of diffuse pollution in Northeast China. Results showed that the alfalfa barrier had high runoff and sediment reduction efficiencies during the maize growing season, and could remove more than 50% of nutrient loads.
