Membrane-protected molecularly imprinted polymers: Towards selectivity improvement of liquid-phase microextraction

A. Martin-Esteban

Summary: Sample preparation is still a bottleneck in the analytical process, with molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) being considered excellent materials for selective extractions. Incorporating MIPs into other microextraction techniques offers a new strategy to meet current sample preparation requirements, but the complexity of the sample can affect recoveries of target analytes.
