Thermal decomposition behavior of3Dprinting filaments made of wood-filled polylactic acid/starch blend

Yufeng Sun et al.

Summary: Dynamic thermogravimetric analysis was used to study the thermal decomposition process of 3D printing filaments made of wood-filled polylactic acid (PLA)/starch blend. It was found that the onset thermal decomposition temperatures decreased and the thermal degradation degree became smaller with increasing starch content in the filament. The apparent activation energy values varied between 97 and 114 kJ/mol, depending on material composition and method of calculation, indicating the potential for developing PLA/starch-based filaments for 3D printing.

Investigation of kinetic parameters for ammonium perchlorate thermal decomposition in presence of gCN/CuO by TG-MS analysis and kinetic compensation correction

Gladiya Mani et al.

Summary: The study shows that gCN-CuO1 composite material can effectively reduce the decomposition temperature of AP and increase the heat release. Gas evolution during AP decomposition was successfully detected using in-situ TG-MS technique, and quantitative interpretation of kinetic parameters for AP decomposition was carried out using Coats-Redfern method and Kinetic Compensation Correction (KCC).
