Bimetallic sulfides ZnIn2S4 modified g-C3N4 adsorbent with wide temperature range for rapid elemental mercury uptake from coal-fired flue gas

Summary: A new type of bimetallic sulfide ZnIn2S4 modified g-C3N4 adsorbent has been prepared for capturing Hg-0 from coal-fired flue gas, showing stable adsorption efficiency and high capacity. The adsorbent is promising for mercury pollution remediation and may guide future development of similar materials for industrial flue gas treatment.

Summary: In this study, an oxygen vacancy-rich CeO2/BiOBr Z-scheme heterojunction was prepared via solvothermal method, which exhibited efficient photocatalytic oxidation of gaseous elemental mercury. The collaboration of interface engineering, oxygen vacancies, and Ce3+/Ce4+ redox centers significantly enhanced charge carrier transfer and photocatalytic activity. Further investigation on the effect of actual flue gas components demonstrated the feasibility of using this Z-scheme heterojunction for environmental purification.

Selenium ligands doped ZnS for highly efficient immobilization of elemental mercury from coal combustion flue gas

Summary: This study introduces the method of introducing selenium ligands into ZnS to enhance Hg0 capture capability, with promising results showing 100% removal efficiency within a wide temperature range for 30SZ. In-situ growth of TiO2 phase junction nanorods with Ti3+ and oxygen vacancies to enhance photocatalytic activity

Summary: In this study, titanium dioxide phase junction nanorods with Ti3+ and oxygen vacancies were successfully prepared and utilized for photocatalytic removal of gas phase mercury, showing significantly enhanced efficiency compared to commercial P25. The synergy between phase junction, Ti3+, and O-v in promoting electron-hole separation and transfer efficiency was demonstrated, providing new insights into effective solar energy utilization and photocatalyst design.
