Synthesis of Double Interfering Biodegradable Nano-MgO Micelle Composites and Their Effect on Parkinson's Disease

Summary: The study developed a degradable nano-MgO micelle composite with double interference using RNAi and mRNA to target the alpha-synuclein gene, showing significantly improved inhibitory effects in treating Parkinson's disease. Cell experiments demonstrated increased viability in the PD cell model and the ability of the composite to penetrate the blood brain barrier and deliver genes and mRNA to neurons.

Summary: The use of macrophage membrane-coated solid lipid nanoparticles for antioxidant delivery shows promise in delaying the progression of Alzheimer's disease by targeting neuronal mitochondria. This biomimetic nanosystem, capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier and selectively targeting neurons, exhibits favorable therapeutic effects in vitro and in vivo. The synergistic effects of macrophage membranes, RVG29, and TPP contribute to the success of this neuronal mitochondria-targeted delivery system.
