BMP-6 carrying metal organic framework-embedded in bioresorbable electrospun fibers for enhanced bone regeneration

Summary: In this study, a MOF-embedded electrospun fiber scaffold for the controlled release of BMP-6 was developed for the first time, showing superior osteogenic effects with sustained release lasting up to 30 days. The results demonstrate the potential of utilizing MOF carriers in electrospun scaffolds for effective bone regeneration in tissue engineering applications.

Summary: The study introduces a lysosome-targeting nanoparticle developed from a mineralized metal-organic framework coupled with a lysosome-targeting aptamer to enhance the antitumor effect of T cells. The MOF synthesized from Zn2+ and dimethylimidazole has good protein encapsulation and acid sensitivity, making it an ideal lysosomal delivery vector. The use of calcium carbonate to induce MOF mineralization improves stability and provides synergistic effects for encapsulating therapeutic proteins.
