Nickel oxide for inverted structure perovskite solar cells

Fei Ma et al.

Summary: Inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted great attention due to their potential for improving stability. The use of nickel oxide (NiOx) as a hole transporting layer has shown promising results in achieving efficient and stable device performance, with efficiencies over 20%. Further research is ongoing to address current challenges and improve the development of efficient and stable NiOx based PSCs.

Chloride gradient render carrier extraction of hole transport layer for high Voc and efficient inverted organometal halide perovskite solar cell

Kai-Chi Hsiao et al.

Summary: The study explores the interfacial issues of an inverted OHPSC by applying a universal NiOx film with a sequential passivation strategy of NiCl2. The treated NiOx film not only passivates the interface but also induces a gradient energy level of valance band, suppressing non-radiative recombination and enlarging the splitting of the quasi-Fermi level at the interfaces. This approach leads to a high photoconversion efficiency and superior long-term stability in NiOx based inverted OHPSCs.

Learning from hole-transporting polymers in regular perovskite solar cells to construct efficient conjugated polyelectrolytes for inverted devices

Luozheng Zhang et al.

Summary: A novel CPE material, DTB(Na), was constructed in this study, showing enhanced capacities of hole-extraction and defect-passivation in iPSC devices, leading to improved photovoltaic parameters and long-term stability, achieving a high power conversion efficiency of 19.92%. The results demonstrate the feasibility of using efficient polymeric HTMs with the same main-chains in rPSCs and iPSCs, enriching molecular designing strategies and potentially expanding the library of efficient HTMs for iPSCs.
