Ultrathin Porous Carbon Nitride Bundles with an Adjustable Energy Band Structure toward Simultaneous Solar Photocatalytic Water Splitting and Selective Phenylcarbinol Oxidation

Baogang Wu et al.

Summary: ACN bundles with adjustable band gaps and hollow microtubes were synthesized via pyrolysis, showing excellent water-splitting and phenylcarbinol oxidation abilities under solar irradiation. The proton source of released hydrogen was confirmed to be water through D-2 isotope labeling, separation, and detection.

In situ modification of cobalt on MXene/TiO2 as composite photocatalyst for efficient nitrogen fixation

Wanguo Gao et al.

Summary: Modulating the binding of reactants or products with catalysts is an effective way to enhance photocatalytic activity. Introducing Co into MXene@TiO2 catalysts adjusts surface reactivity, promoting product desorption and active site efficiency. The optimal catalyst shows remarkable NH4+ production and stability.

Well-designed 2D/2D Ti3C2TA/R MXene coupled g-C3N4 heterojunction with in-situ growth of anatase/rutile TiO2 nucleates to boost photocatalytic dry-reforming of methane (DRM) for syngas production under visible light

Azmat Ali Khan et al.

Summary: The study investigated a well-designed 2D/2D g-C3N4/Ti3C2TA/R (CN/TCT) MXene heterojunction with in-situ growth of TiO2-nucleates for boosting the photocatalytic dry reforming of methane. The resulting material showed higher visible light absorption and proficient charge separation, leading to improved H-2 and CO rates compared to using CN and TCT separately. The effect of feed ratio (CO2/CH4) further confirmed efficient sorption process with good recyclability under visible light for the conversion of CO2 and CH4 to syngas.
