MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet with thermal radiation effect

Ubaidullah Yashkun et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer characteristics of MHD hybrid nanofluid over a linear stretching and shrinking surface with suction and thermal radiation effects. The study finds that the heat transfer efficiency of the hybrid nanofluid is greater than the nanofluid, and dual solutions exist for a specific range of the stretching/shrinking parameter. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number increase with suction effect, and suction and thermal radiation widen the range of the stretching/shrinking parameter for which solutions exist.

Bio-convective micropolar nanofluid flow over thin moving needle subject to Arrhenius activation energy, viscous dissipation and binary chemical reaction

Arshad Khan et al.

Summary: The study of nanofluid dynamics with bioconvection effects has important practical applications due to nanofluids' superior thermal transportation capabilities compared to pure fluids. This work aims to investigate the impact of bioconvective micropolar nanofluid flow over a moving needle with gyrotactic microorganisms, exposed to various factors like Arrhenius activation energy and chemical reactions. Through the use of suitable variables and the homotopy analysis method, it is found that flow profiles decrease with certain parameters while thermal and concentration profiles exhibit different behaviors. The results of this work also show good agreement with existing literature results.

A. S. Oke et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the applications of water conveying 47nm alumina nanoparticles in mechanical and biomedical industries. It was found that Coriolis force and heat source significantly impact the motion, temperature distribution, and concentration of nanofluids. Increasing the volume fraction of alumina particles enhances heat transfer rate and shear stress at the wall.

Summary: The study investigates natural convection heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid in a rectangular cavity with heated fins, with results showing laminar flow at low Rayleigh numbers and turbulent flow at higher Rayleigh numbers. The intensity of velocity profile and streamline function increases with the Rayleigh number, and the nanoparticle volume fraction affects the thermal profile and streamlined function.

Summary: The study discusses the 2D steady, laminar and incompressible flow of magneto-Cross nanofluid towards the region of moving thin needle. Results show that higher values of magnetic parameter and Weissenberg number slow down fluid velocity, while an increase in Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters improves thermal distribution.

Summary: This study discusses the thermophoresis particle deposition effects of magneto-Walter's B nanofluid induced by a stretched surface under the action of pressure and buoyant forces, utilizing the Buongiorno nanofluid model. The analysis incorporates chemical reaction, Joule heating, and non-linear radiation relations, with the results showing that the heat thermal Biot number, thermophoretic constant, and viscoelastic parameter increase the nanofluid temperature and concentration while a decaying concentration profile is observed for the Schmidt number.
