New insight into absorption characteristics of CO2 on the surface of calcite, dolomite, and magnesite

Lin Tao et al.

Summary: The study found that dolomite has the best CO2 adsorption performance at different temperatures, and the adsorption process follows the pseudo-first-order kinetic model. Additionally, multiscale simulations revealed that the adsorption interface of CO2 can be divided into strong and weak adsorption layers, with the weak adsorption layer determining the adsorption capacity under saturated conditions.

Flue gas separation at organic-inorganic interface under geological conditions

Lin Tao et al.

Summary: Research shows that CO2 is preferentially adsorbed at the graphite-calcite interface, while N2 is squeezed into the central region. The presence of calcium impurity on the GC interface provides absolute advantages for flue gas separation.

Achieving Concurrent High Energy Density and Efficiency in All-Polymer Layered Paraelectric/Ferroelectric Composites via Introducing a Moderate Layer

Shengbiao Sun et al.

Summary: Dielectric polymer capacitors are widely used in advanced electronics due to their high power density, but achieving high energy density and discharge efficiency remains a challenge. A novel all-polymer trilayer structure is proposed to address this issue by combining different polymers with specific properties to optimize the electric field distribution, resulting in significantly improved breakdown strength, energy density, efficiency, and cycling stability.

Asymmetric Trilayer All-Polymer Dielectric Composites with Simultaneous High Efficiency and High Energy Density: A Novel Design Targeting for Advanced Energy Storage Capacitors

Liang Sun et al.

Summary: The unique design of an asymmetric all-polymer trilayer composite has been reported to achieve high energy density and high discharge efficiency. By utilizing a nonlinear dielectric layer for high energy density and a linear dielectric layer for high discharge efficiency, along with a transition layer to homogenize the electric field distribution, a significant improvement in breakdown strength and energy density has been demonstrated, resulting in a high efficiency of 89.9% and a high energy density of 12.15 J cm(-3).
