Amino group-rich porous g-C3N4 nanosheet photocatalyst: Facile oxalic acid-induced synthesis and improved H2-evolution activity

Binbin Zhao et al.

Summary: The reasonable modulation of tri-s-triazine structure units of g-C3N4 can optimize its intrinsic electronic and optical properties and enhance its photocatalytic hydrogen-evolution activity. Introducing amino groups into the structure units results in porous nanosheets with improved hydrogen-production performance due to enhanced visible-light absorption and more active centers for hydrogen-generation. The regulation of tri-striazine structure units provides a promising route for the development of efficient g-C3N4 photocatalysts.
