Summary: By introducing a highly efficient and environmentally friendly oxidation system and a superior CuFe2O4/SiO2 nano-catalyst, VMA can be oxidized to vanillin under atmospheric pressure with high conversion and selectivity. The excellent catalytic performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of the catalytic capacity of CuFe2O4 and the adsorption capacity for the reactant of SiO2.
