Numerical modeling of rebar-matrix bond behaviors of nano-SiO2 and PVA fiber reinforced geopolymer composites

Peng Zhang et al.

Summary: The effects of PVA fibers and NS on the rebar-matrix bond behaviors of geopolymer composites were investigated through experiments and numerical modeling. It was found that the addition of PVA fibers and NS within certain ranges can effectively improve the bond strength and toughness of the composites. The proposed numerical model exhibited high prediction accuracy, serving as an effective guide for predicting the bond behaviors of rebar and geopolymer composites.

Thermoelectric properties of geopolymers with the addition of nano-silicon carbide (SiC) powder

Jingming Cai et al.

Summary: The study found that the addition of nano-silicon carbide effectively increased the Seebeck coefficient of geopolymers, while a higher alkali concentration can enhance the Seebeck coefficient of both fly ash and metakaolin based geopolymers. Curing temperature has a negligible influence on the Seebeck effect of metakaolin based geopolymers.

Mechanical and fracture properties of geopolymer concrete with basalt fiber using digital image correlation

Yamin Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the mechanical and fracture properties of basalt fiber reinforced fly ash geopolymer concrete with different fiber lengths, and found that the 6 mm fiber reinforced concrete exhibited the best performance. Before reaching the 80% peak load level, a decrease in crack length and an improvement in relative COD increment were observed in the basalt fiber reinforced concrete.
