Triazoloacridone C-1305 impairs XBP1 splicing by acting as a potential IRE1α endoribonuclease inhibitor

Sylwia Bartoszewska et al.

Summary: IRE1 alpha is a key signaling sensor in the unfolded protein response, promoting the production of the prosurvival transcription factor XBP1s. The study shows that the microtubule stabilizing agent C-1305 significantly decreases XBP1s production during stress conditions, potentially by inhibiting IRE1 alpha's endonuclease activity.
