Double-shell hollow glass microspheres@Co2SiO4 for lightweight and efficient electromagnetic wave absorption

Di Lan et al.

Summary: The study successfully synthesized novel double-shell hollow glass microspheres coated with cobalt silicate, which play an important role in electromagnetic wave absorption. The composite material exhibited high reflection loss and a wide effective absorption bandwidth, showing excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance. The new type of double-shell HGMs@Co2SiO4 is expected to be an excellent candidate for a new generation of stable, lightweight, and efficient electromagnetic wave absorbing material.

Accessory ligand strategies for hexacyanometallate networks deriving perovskite polycrystalline electromagnetic absorbents

Zhenguo Gao et al.

Summary: The regulated use of sodium citrate as an accessory ligand allowed for the controllable fabrication of Prussian blue analogs and lanthanide perovskite hybrid CoFe alloy polycrystals for the first time. Through analysis of multi-phase features in the resultant polycrystals, including distortions, defects, and heterogeneous interfaces, it was observed that the polycrystalline absorbents achieved excellent impedance matching and electromagnetic attenuation. Overall, this strategy provided a novel approach to fabricating high-performance magnetic semiconductor polycrystalline devices.

Defect Induced Polarization Loss in Multi-Shelled Spinel Hollow Spheres for Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Application

Ming Qin et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the defect induced dielectric loss dominant mechanism in multi-shelled spinel hollow spheres, showing that defects in spinel structure play a more profound role in electromagnetic wave dissipation than oxygen vacancies. The research also suggests that electron spin resonance test can be used as a novel approach to probe materials' electromagnetic wave absorption capacities.
