Mussel-Inspired Design of a Self-Adhesive Agent for Durable Moisture Management and Bacterial Inhibition on PET Fabric

Yuanfeng Wang et al.

Summary: A novel superhydrophilic polymeric molecule designed based on cation-pi interaction can efficiently transform hydrophobic PET fabric into a superhydrophilic one, enhancing human comfort and physiological health. The resulting Janus fabric with diode-like one-way sweat transportation capability inhibits bacterial growth and preserves the skin's microflora balance.

Antibacterial efficacy of quaternized chitosan/poly (vinyl alcohol) nanofiber membrane crosslinked with blocked diisocyanate

Jheng-Yu Wu et al.

Summary: HTCC, a chitosan derivative with quaternary ammonium groups, shows higher antibacterial activity but is unsuitable for electrospinning due to its hydrophilic nature. Adding PVA enhances its electrospinnability. Crosslinking PVA/HTCC/BI nanofiber membranes improves stability and antibacterial efficacy, making it a promising material for food packaging and wound dressing.

Development of zeolite-A incorporated PVA/CS nanofibrous composite membranes using the electrospinning technique for pervaporation dehydration of water/tert-butanol

Divya D. Achari et al.

Summary: Composite nanofibrous membranes were developed using the electrospinning technique and crosslinked with the vapour crosslinking technique. Various physicochemical properties were studied, and membranes containing 0.9wt% zeolite showed the highest separation factor. These membranes have high potential for industrial separation of water/tert-butanol based on their excellent separation factor and permeate flux.
