Can decision support combat incompleteness and bias in routine primary care data?

Olga Kostopoulou et al.

Summary: This study found that the use of a decision support system (DSS) significantly impacted data completeness and the type of information documented during consultations, with supported consultations containing more codes and less free text. The findings suggest that DSS can facilitate more comprehensive documentation of diagnosis-related data by physicians during consultations.
