Multisectoral nutrition planning in Nepal: Evidence from an organizational network analysis

Jenny Ruducha et al.

Summary: The study found that the development of Nepal's MSNP was related to the high density of organizational connections, the leadership roles of the National Planning Commission and the National Nutrition and Food Security Secretariat in Nepal, and the bridging roles played by some government ministries and UN agencies. Specialized roles were observed for different types of working relationships, and partners were less connected on MSNP implementation compared to policy dialogue and strategic planning.

Mobilising evidence, data, and resources to achieve global maternal and child undernutrition targets and the Sustainable Development Goals: an agenda for action

Rebecca A. Heidkamp et al.

Summary: As the world approaches the 2025 World Health Assembly nutrition targets and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, millions of women, children, and adolescents worldwide remain undernourished, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is necessary to renew commitment and implement interventions with increased funding from both domestic and global sources to address this global challenge. Multisectoral actions and well-resourced nutrition data systems are essential to tackle the unfinished undernutrition agenda, now amplified by the crisis.
