Association of Patients' Past Misdiagnosis Experiences with Trust in Their Current Physician Among Japanese Adults

Summary: The study found that patients and their family members' experiences of misdiagnosis were associated with lower trust in their current physicians. The impact of personal and family members' misdiagnosis experiences on trust was additive, and interventions targeting misdiagnosed patients are necessary to restore trust.
