Downregulating long non-coding RNA PVT1 expression inhibited the viability, migration and phenotypic switch of PDGF-BB-treated human aortic smooth muscle cells via targeting miR-27b-3p

Shouming Li et al.

Summary: The study showed that downregulating PVT1 expression can suppress the proliferation, migration, and phenotypic switch of HASMCs treated by PDGF-BB.

LncRNA H19 regulates smooth muscle cell functions and participates in the development of aortic dissection through sponging miR-193b-3p

Mingming Ren et al.

Summary: The study revealed that LncRNA H19 is highly expressed in aortic dissection (AD) patients and plays a role in AD development by competitively binding and inhibiting miR-193b-3p. Silencing H19 reversed the regulation of platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) on aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMCs), and miR-193b-3p inhibitor partially reversed the effects of H19 silencing. Animal experiments further validated that downregulating H19 and upregulating miR-193b-3p could reduce pathological damage in AD mice.

Lnc-OIP5-AS1 exacerbates aorta wall injury during the development of aortic dissection through upregulating TUB via sponging miR-143-3p

Peng Wang et al.

Summary: The study identified the crucial role of lncRNA OIP5-AS1 in exacerbating aortic dissection by regulating miR-143-3p. Additionally, the target gene TUB of miR-143-3p was found to have a regulatory effect on cellular functions.
